Our Story
Cultivating Humanity Incorporated, is a 501(c)(3) agency, that began in 2018 in an effort to address the prevalent food deserts in the Clayton county and Metro Atlanta areas.
Clayton county has 13 food deserts areas which have been identified by the United States Department of Agriculture. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, food deserts are defined as low-income neighborhoods in which there is a lack of fresh foods within a one mile radius. This also includes areas in which community members may lack access to a vehicle to travel to receive fresh produce. We seek to combat the lack of accessibility to farm fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and dairy through a robust communication and outreach strategy.

Our Strategy
Cultivating Humanity Incorporated partners with local farms to offer sale and delivery of farm fresh foods in the Clayton County area, educational opportunities for both children and adults alike to learn how to grow food and cook healthy meals. This helps to increase food awareness to encourage healthier eating habits. Similarly, Cultivating Humanity Inc. seeks to lobby for changes within the metro Atlanta area to decrease incidences of food insecurity. Our commitment is to provide Atlanta with access to fresh foods.
